The Dunes Course was originally designed by golf architect Seth Raynor and Robert Hunter completed the work following Raynor's death. A little over 70 years later, the members hired Rees Jones in 1997 to reconstruct and fix some drainage/layout issues. This course is located on a beautiful piece of land, with rolling typography, which stretches from the Del Monte forest all the way down to the rocky Pacific Coastline. The inland portion weaves through the majestic Del Monte pine forest, with undulating, tree-lined fairways and large multi-tiered greens. As you reach the coastline this course starts to shine with sprawling vistas of the natural landscape.
The Dunes Course was part of the Crosby golf tournament hosted by Bing Crosby, currently the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, from 1947 to 1964.

I had the opportunity to play this course a few years ago and did not realize the greatness until I played a few holes. Fallowing the rolling fairways down to the blue Pacific is a beautiful experience with Spanish Bay to the right and Point Joe's rugged rock formations. The layout has a natural flow and manicured to perfection. If you get a chance to play, get really excited and except the offer.
