Designed in 1987 by a team that included Robert Trent Jones Jr., Tom Watson and Sandy Tatum, the Links at Spanish Bay is the closest example to a true links golf course in the U.S. With its sandy dunes, blistering wind and rugged coastline, Spanish Bay evokes the original Scottish feel of the game.

A majority of the front nine, along with the closing five holes, are played among the dunes. Views of the Pacific Ocean are dramatic while the multi-tiered, extremely undulating greens will keep you mesmerized. You will be immersed with the views and smells of the natural ocean environment. With fog overhead and an immaculate course at your feet; Spanish Bay Golf Links is truly a wonderful golf experience.

This is a beautiful course, consisting of very tight, "links" style holes along the ocean mixed with a few in the traditional style. Absolutely perfect condition, manicured like no other i have played. This course was built on an environmentally sensitive area so there are may "free drops" along the narrow fairways. This course is very hard, especially when the wind is up and the greens are a joke--one of them looks like the buried a circus elephant in the middle of it. The ocean views are stunning.
